YURI LEE (KOR)
Stereo Exchange is excited to present the Korean artist and mathematician
Yuri Lee, who will present all new works in a solo presentation entitled “Sun Diorama”.
Lee’s work beautifully intertwines mathematics and softness, offering a unique perspective on robotics and human empathy. Her creations breathe with human-like movements, adding a sense of fragility to the future of robotics and the softness that can eventuate.
“Sun Diorama” explores the complexities of consciousness and the drawbacks of our living and aging exterior.
Why would one want to be sentient?
Can a breath exist without thought?
Lee’s work challenges these ideas through delicate, thought-provoking installations.
Additionally, the exhibition will feature her evolving Augmented Reality (AR) work, a sculptural and conceptual playground that transforms reality through a smart tablet, projecting imaginative objects onto sculptural perches.
