Open Call @ Stereo Exchange for creators of greater Europe
Stereo Exchange (SE) is proud to launch an open call for a curated duo exhibition in the Autumn of 2020.
This open call program supports artists and designers alike, showing together in our gallery space in Copenhagen, Denmark.
SE supports experimental practices and works across disciplines, and for this open call we encourage proposals from graphic, textile, product, furniture and jewellery designers, and also new media artists, but all professionals within the creative fields can apply.
The works must be pre-existing, and please see our website to get a further understanding of our specific approach and the including dimensions of the exhibition space in our about page for your application.
What Stereo Exchange offers:
- One half of a curated duo exhibition for creators within greater Europe
- Transport of work both ways
- Documentation of the exhibition
Dates and Deadlines:
- Applications are open now and until the deadline August 3. 2020 at midnight.
- You will be notified before the end of August and the work has to be ready for transport within a week of receiving an answer.
- Exhibition dates will be announced after the open call selection.
Applications should include:
- Contact information: email, phone and location where the applicant/work is based.
- Project description (max 500 Words)
- Statement of why it is relevant for stereo exchange
- 2 to 3 pages of photo documentation of the actual work you are applying with
- Dimensions of the works
- 3 to 5 pages of your other relevant work
(Artist groups only need to send one application)

Max size 15 MB.

Stereo Exchange is a non-profit organisation, Stereo Exchange reserves the right to cancel or change the offer if there are further compilations due to the COVID19 virus and other extraneous circumstances.

What is the deadline?
The deadline August 3rd 2020 at midnight.
Is it a solo exhibition I am applying for?
No the exhibition is for an artist or creator to be part of a duo show, not a solo show.
Who is curating the show and who will choose the other exhibitor?
Stereo exchange will curate the show and select the other artist/creator that the chosen artist/creator will show with in the exhibition.
If I live outside of Europe can I apply?
No, sorry.
Who am I exhibiting with?
This will be announced when the artist/creator has been chosen.
Can I visit the space?
One is welcome to visit the space during our opening hours while we have an exhibition running, otherwise see https://stereoexchange.dk/About for space dimensions and look around at our previous exhibitions for an idea of how the space looks.
When can I expect a response?
As we are only two people we endevour to answer all emails and reply to everybody,
this is not always possible, we hope this is understandable.
